According to an article in Willamette Week, Mary-Beth Baptista, director of the Independent Police Review division, is resigning in June.  There was no mention as to why Baptista was leaving her post, but it is difficult not to assume that she is leaving because any attempt at real change, within the bureau, was met with bureaucratic intransigence and outright stonewalling by Chief Reese and the rest of the Police Bureau apologists.
